AIRS Code Collection
AIRS Code Collection

The AIRS Code Collection provides command-line tools and supporting libraries for processing, analysis, and retrieval workflows based on observations from NASA's Atmospheric InfraRed Sounder (AIRS).

Introduction

The source code of the AIRS Code Collection is available in the GitHub repository. The README.md provides installation notes and a short project overview, while the user manual contains workflow-oriented documentation for building and running the software.

This Doxygen manual focuses on the internal data structures, algorithms, and file-level interfaces implemented in the code base. Start with the documentation of libairs.h for the AIRS-specific types and helper routines used throughout the project.

The AIRS Code Collection uses JURASSIC as an upstream radiative transfer model and retrieval framework. The copy of JURASSIC sources in this repository is included for implementation purposes, while the upstream project is maintained separately at slcs-jsc/jurassic.
